Report Title: Audit of Social Policy Research Associates

Report Number: Report No. 18-98-003-03-001

Issue Date: January 14, 1998

We audited $4.6 million claimed by Social Policy Research Associates (SPRA) under nine contracts with DOL during the period June 30, 1992 through March 31, 1997. We also audited the proposed final indirect costs and rates for Calendar Year 1996. SPRA supports DOL by performing cost-benefit analysis of programs, evaluating the extent to which the programs meet the needs of the various demographic groups, and evaluating the effectiveness of the various delivery systems used by the various programs. We found that SPRA has complied with the laws and regulations applicable to its contracts, and that the costs claimed were fairly presented and indirect costs and rate proposed were acceptable.
